Tom Martino is past president of the Bowling Proprietors’ Association of America. He has served on BPAA’s Executive Committee, Budget and Finance Committee, and Member Benefits Committee. In 2010, Tom was recipient of the BPAA President’s Award. He served six one-year terms as BPAA’s treasurer, and was director for the Eastern Region on BPAA’s board of directors from 2002-2006. In 1973, he became a co-proprietor, operating Hill Lanes in Old Bridge, N.J., until 2000. He was president and co-proprietor of Stelton Lanes in Piscataway, N.J., from 1984 to 1987, when the business was sold. In 1991, he became co-proprietor and president of Majestic Lanes in Hopelawn, N.J., where he remains today. He has served as New Jersey BPA president, North Jersey Bowling Proprietors president, State Bowling Council president, and State Bowling Council vice president. Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Peter’s College. Prior to his bowling business career, he worked as a cost accountant for Beecham Pharmaceuticals and as public accountant for the accounting firm of Laventhal, Krekstein, Horwath & Horwath in East Brunswick, N.J.
