Chad Murphy is the executive who oversees the Youth Development Team, combining resources from the USBC and BPAA, established in February 2011. He oversee  all youth-related initatives for the International Bowling Campus, including membership, collegiate, tournaments, Bowlopolis and the Youth Education Services (YES) Fund pilot program leagues.

    The youth development department is responsible for growing the sport of bowling among our youth. The youth staff administers many programs and oversees youth championship tournaments as well.

    USBC High School actively offers guidance to all levels of high school bowling programs by providing rules, instruction, membership, awards and industry resources to ensure the success of high school bowling nationwide.

    USBC Collegiate regulates bowling at the collegiate level, initiating bowling programs that develop athletic and leadership skills that expose college bowlers to a variety of experiences.

    The SMART program is the only bowling scholarship management program providing full protection of a student-athlete's eligibility status. Over $6 million in bowling scholarships are awarded annually.

    North Pointe Junior Gold is a membership program with benefits throughout the year and concludes every summer with a championship tournament featuring the best youth bowlers in the nation.

    The USBC Youth Open is the only true national open tournament for youth bowlers, contested since 2007 in a different city each year. Competition consists of four-player team, doubles and singles, with an optional all-events category.

    The Pepsi USBC Youth Championships is a nationwide tournament that begins with qualifying during leagues. Youth bowlers have the opportunity to advance to a state finals event and earn scholarships, where they can compete against bowlers from across their state.
