Skydiving with a Bowling Ball

What looks like a fun game of catch between a bunch of skydivers is actually some fantastic science in action. After all, a bowling ball should fall a lot faster than a person (the ball has much less wind resistance). However, these skydivers are playing games with gravity to make the ball and themselves fall at nearly the same rate.

How did they make that happen?

As Outrageous Acts of Science on the Science Channel points out, these skydivers have created a streamer attached to the ball that makes it fall just as fast as these skydivers. The result? A friendly game of catch with a bowling ball between buddies. And who knows, maybe there are some pins waiting for them when they land!
