The mailing of approximately 12,000 United States Bowling Congress Transition Manuals and additional information to ABC, WIBC and YABA state and local associations has been completed.
Each association executive director/secretary will receive two copies of the Transition Manual, plus one copy of the Welcome Letter, Temporary Charter, Letter of Intent, Initial Joint Meeting Sample Agenda and Transition Checklist. Executive directors/secretaries are asked to give their presidents one of the manuals and copies of all the other information.
The Transition Manual provides the step-by-step process to assist state and local associations through the entire chartering process and to provide tools for a smooth transition upon approval of USBC.
It is a simple manual that walks an association through the chartering process - from setting up governance to incorporation requirements. The process is explained in 10 steps. A series of subject-specific appendices are included to provide detailed information and assistance.
The Transition Manual also includes the USBC Association Policy Manual and the various state/local bylaws depending whether an association would charter with USBC as a merged or non-merged association.
