In May of 2002, industry leaders from American Bowling Congress, Bowling Proprietors Association of America, USA Bowling, Womens International Bowling Congress and Young American Bowling Alliance voted to combine USA Bowling and the Young American Bowling Alliance (YABA) coaching programs along with an industry sponsored Bowler Development Pipeline into one program.
The combining of the three programs into one program created less confusion for the bowling industry. A strategic action plan was approved and funded by the above organizations and USA Bowling Coaching began operating on August 1, 2002.
On January 1, 2005, the department changed it's name to USBC Coaching as a part of the membership orginizations' merger into the United States Bowling Congress. |
