This program is most useful for high school or college team coaches. It is also valuable for other coaches seeking to learn additional instructional techniques. This program contains 29 drills that teach proper techniques in areas such as:
- * Release
- * Balance
- * Arm swing
- * Timing
The program is available in two formats.
- The kit only consists of a manual and DVD. The manual covers each drill including the purpose, required equipment, setup and execution of the drill, and safety issues. The DVD complements the manual showing the basic information along with demonstrating the correct execution of each drill.
- Participants in the on-lane clinic receive the kit mentioned above plus approximately four hours of instruction on how to execute the drill. Most of the clinic time will be spent working on the lanes addressing technique and common errors.
Neither the kit nor the on-lane clinic is a substitute for the USBC Coaching Level I certification course. Level I must also be completed before progressing to the USBC Coaching Bronze level certification course.
