The IS Business Analyst/Project Manager is responsible for all activities involved in managing and coordinating IS projects from project initiation to closure, and on-going enhancement and support, according to USBC project management and software development methodologies.
Performs general management of Data Center Operations, Technical Services, Telecommunications and Internal Help Desk functions. This includes direct oversight of operations and support including product sourcing and purchasing of equipment, software licensing and supplies. Also included is budgeting responsibilities for these functions and purchasing and budget tracking for the multiple USBC Tournament technology related items.
Supervise and manage the application development, enhancement, and support processes for USBC business initiatives and systems, and the staff of analysts, project managers, programmers, designers and vendors that support them. Be an active member of the IT Management Team which sets the strategic technology direction for the USBC and then develops the tactical plans to meet those strategic goals.
This position will assist the Specifications and Certification team in their efforts to maintain the integrity of the sport of bowling. This position will conduct research into the "System Of Bowling", which involves looking at many different aspects of the game. The main focus for this investigation includes bowling balls, pins, lane surfaces, and lane oils.
Investigate, determine and apply lane dressing patterns at various USBC national tournaments. This requires decision making on-site to provide participant fairness, appropriate level of scoring and maintain USBC's credibility within the industry. Will be involved in all aspects of Research & Development; investigating testing methods, coordinating testing, designing test components, gathering and analysis of data. Support the Sport Bowling Program by working with and answering questions from Sport Bowling Leagues and Tournaments. Perform specification testing on bowling products submitted for approval by equipment manufacturers as needed.
