The 2012 United States Bowling Congress Women's Championships provided many memorable moments during its 86-day run at the National Bowling Stadium in Reno, Nev., and now, nearly $2 million in prize money is on its way to tournament participants.

Prize checks were placed in the mail Tuesday morning and will go to team captains, who will distribute them to their bowlers. This year's event featured nearly 30,000 bowlers, and more than half (19,183) will receive a share of the prize fund. Checks include winnings from the USBC Women's Championships, yearlong brackets and side events.
