    Ryan Ciminelli of Cheektowaga, N.Y., defeated Todd Book of Wapakoneta, Ohio, 289-217, to win the second annual Professional Bowlers Association Central Region G.A. Wintzer & Son Classic presented by Roto Grip at Astro Lanes Sunday.

    The title was Ciminelli’s first of the year in the PBA Central Region and the eighth PBA Regional title of his career. He earned $3,000 along with his title.

    Book defeated Riga Kalfas of Florence, Ky., 257-218, to advance to the championship match. In the first stepladder match, Book eliminated amateur Chandler Stevens of Archbold, Ohio, 226-212.

    Book earned $2,000 for second place, Kalfas won $1,500 for third, Stevens $1,100 for fourth.

    The next PBA Central Region tournament is in Anderson, Ind. October 5-7, 2012.
