
Last month USBC started a series of updates aimed at letting users know about changes to BOWL.com and the new processing system for youth membership. The following is an update detailing additional recent enhancements and key changes in development:
Youth Membership Processing
Recent enhancements:
• View league bowlers, all bowlers in all leagues report, centers and leagues report, league financial report, payment receipts report and bowlers' averages report now sort by column.
• All bowlers in all leagues report, league financial report and payment receipts report now correctly sort by name as a default setting.
• Additional print features for My Center, My Leagues, and Bowlers tabs.
• Enter Scores page has been modified to have "First Name, Last Name" order consistent with other pages.
• New messaging for invalid credit card entries.
Enhancements available in the next month:
• Ability to edit and delete bowler awards
• Enhanced functionality for series awards processing
• Addition of honor score awards (300 game, 800 series, 11 In a Row)
• Associations will be able to synchronize their WinLABS with the membership information from the national bowler database for tournament operations
• Youth Sport Membership as a membership choice
• Youth State Dues Only as a membership choice
Additional changes under development:
• Additional report showing details of payment transactions
• Ability to process membership without assigning to a league
• New member ID numbers will be assigned real-time
• Ability to export member averages to a yearbook
• Auto-populate city and state fields when the zip code is entered
• Ability to enter a bowler into a league and select "None" as the membership choice with the membership being processed for another league at a later date
• Enhanced functionality with the keyboard only for data entry screens
BOWL.com
Recent enhancements:
• News headlines for specific programs such as Collegiate, High School, Team USA and Associations can be on the pages for those programs
• USBC news stories no longer appear in a separate box and now have unique page.
• Home page load time significantly reduced.
Additional changes under development:
• Search function will be upgraded (Later this month)
• Ability to bookmark some specific pages and modules within the site (January).
USBC will continue to provide weekly updates on the progress of enhancements and adjustments to these systems through the association e-news and the news section of BOWL.com. We encourage members, volunteers and partners to provide additional feedback to USBC on how these systems can best meet your needs.
