Setting the Standards for the Game
 |
Responsible for developing and enforcing specifications which control the playing field, the USBC Equipment Specifications and Certification team ensures standardization of the sport for all bowlers.
USBC product testing and approval is crucial to USBC members in a number of ways:
- USBC-monitored specifications ensures bowling scores that are standardized and comparable in all USBC-sanctioned regional and national competitions.
- The “USBC Approved” mark signifies that the product meets all requirements of certified play.
- USBC approval ensures the product can be used as is in any bowling center.
- USBC durability testing is important for detecting design and production flaws before the product is put on the market.
|
USBC Lane Certification Inspection ensures that centers’ lane surfaces and pin setting devices meet the standards for the sport.
The team further acts to advise USBC Sport Bowling Certified Centers on the development and maintenance of Sport-compliant patterns. |
