Tip of the Month: Add pins to your score by improving the mind
The new year is coming fast bringing with it the second half of leagues and many city and state tournaments. It's time to learn to add a few more pins to your score and get the edge you need to place higher in the tournament standings.

Calling all procrastinators: Registration deadlines were extended for the 2008 USBC Open Championships in Albuquerque, N.M., and the 2008 USBC Women's Championships in Detroit.
Registration is now open for the 2008 USBC Youth Open Championships in Detroit. Compete in singles, doubles and four-player team competition for scholarships and national titles.
Compete in one of the sport's most unique grassroots tournaments – the USBC/Storm Mixed Team Challenge, held in 14 cities across the country. Bowlers of all skill levels can find success with the four-player handicap team format.
Visit bowl.com and follow the USBC Team USA Trials, held Jan. 13-18, to find out which elite bowlers will join the team of pros already selected.
