Tip of the Month:
Variety of releases will make you versatile

By Ron Hatfield, USBC Gold coach

USBC Coaching

Sport Bowling conditions require a variety of releases and changing at the right time. A good rule of thumb to follow is: on freshly oiled Sport Bowling lane conditions, your release should be end over end, letting the ball go smoothly onto the lane to get the ball into an earlier roll. As the oil breaks down and a track develops, more loft and side roll can be applied to get the ball through the heads and down the lane.
