Top Tips from Clash Champs
Participants in Bowling’s Clash of Champions were asked to tell us one of their favorite tips. Here are some of the best.

Jason Price - USBC Youth Open Championships All-Events Champion

Jason PriceDon’t think once you step foot on the approach; thinking is to be done beforehand. When you step foot onto the approach, you should be focusing on hitting your spots and making a good shot. That helps me stay confident and committed to the decisions I make so I can make better shots time after time.

Tom Baker - USBC Senior Masters Champion

Tom BakerThe best bowling tip I ever received was from Fred Borden in 1996. I was struggling, and he told me to keep my thumb inside my fingers when I come back with the ball. I won the tournament that week!

Mike Rose Jr. - USBC Open Championships All-Events Champion

Mike Rose Jr.Right before I went to the USBC Open Championships last year, a beautiful brunette once told me to get lower at the foul line. I practiced with her on getting lower to get my ball reading the lane earlier. It worked, and I won the All-Events because of it!

Pete Weber - U.S. Open Champion

Pete WeverMy dad once told me, “When you’re hitting the pocket and not striking, keep hitting the pocket and eventually they will go down”.
