Description: The Masters pattern is 35 feet in length and is also considered a shifted pattern. The shift on the left side allows for left handed bowlers to play any angle into the pocket with enough speed and revolutions. On the right side, as the bowler inside, the area of play increases. However, for a right-handed bowler to play outside, the focus is to have a consistent ball speed and rotation to allow for ball to enter the pocket. Shifted patterns work the best on worn or older lane surfaces and are not to be used unless equity is needed.
