• Won gold medals in team, singles and all-events and added a doubles silver medal at the 2006 American Zone Youth Championships in Mexico (del: last June)
• Hopes to open a chain of pro shops in the future

Jesse Buss

Hometown: Freeport, Ill.
Born: Oct. 29, 1984
Current school: Wichita State University

• At age 15, became youngest person to bowl a 300 game in the history of Freeport (Ill.) Lanes – that record still stands today
• Three-year varsity letter-winner in baseball at Freeport High School – only player in school history to hit home runs right-handed and left-handed

William Haverland

Hometown: Round Rock, Texas
Born: Nov. 17, 1983
Current school: West Texas A&M University

• Named collegiate All-American honorable mention in 2005-06 season
• Has competed in every Junior Gold Championships since 2000
• Favorite Denny’s PBA Tour player is Wes Malott, a fellow West Texan

Matt O’Grady

Hometown: South Amboy, N.J.
Born: July 25, 1986
Current school: William Paterson University
Second year on Junior Team USA (2006)

• Helped lead Junior Team USA to the boys team gold medal at the 2006 American Zone Youth Championships, where he also earned a silver in doubles with Josh Blanchard
• Won 2006 U.S. Junior Amateur boys title after finishing ninth at the 2005 USBC Junior Gold Championships
• 2003 New York State Amateur champion and 2004 New Jersey State Amateur champion, plus more than 30 career Junior Bowlers Tour titles

Tim Pfeifer

• Advanced to the 2006 USBC Intercollegiate Singles Championships in Milwaukee
• Teammate of fellow Junior Team USA member Jason Wunderlich at Robert Morris University
• Has eight titles in the Junior Masters Association of Western Pennsylvania

Jenny Brown

Hometown: DeLand, Fla.

• Third-youngest member of Junior Team USA in history - Stefanie Nation was the youngest at age 15 when she began her term in 2000, Josie Earnest was 16 years, 6 months and 2 days when she began her first term in 2005
• Besides being a member of the girls bowling team, she also plays basketball for DeLand High School

Bryanna Caldwell

Hometown: Tucson, Ariz.

• Teamed up with former Junior Team USA member Emily Maier to win the girls doubles gold medal at the 2006 American Zone Youth Championships in Mexico  
• Named NCAA Division II/III Player of the Year in 2004-05 and 2005-06, plus named Rookie of the Year in 2004-05
• Teammate of fellow Junior Team USA member Tina Peak at Central Missouri

Josie Earnest

Hometown: Vandalia, Ill.
Born: June 28, 1988
Current school: Vanderbilt University
Second year on Junior Team USA (2005)

• Won five gold medals at the 2005 International Youth Friendship Tournament in the Dominican Republic. It was her first competition representing Junior Team USA and first time she had set foot on foreign soil.

Brigette Harrelson

Hometown: Homestead, Fla.

• Moved up from 146th place after the first day at the 2006 USBC Junior Gold Championships to finish sixth
• Named a collegiate second-team All-American as a freshman at Central Florida

Cassandra Leuthold

Current school: University of Nebraska

• North Dakota/South Dakota State Amateur Champion in 2003 and 2004
• Named Alberta E. Crowe Star of Tomorrow in 2005
• Was a letter-winner on the Rapid City Central High School rifle team and placed first in ladies marksmanship at the 2003 JROTC summer camp

Samantha Linder

Hometown: Winter Haven, Fla.
Born: Sept. 13, 1985
Current school: Wichita State University

• Rolled a 300 game (on Sport Bowling conditions) at the 2006 USBC Team USA Trials on her way to earning a spot on Team USA 2006
• 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 Orange Belt (Fla.) YABA City Tournament scratch all-events and singles champion

Tina Peak

Hometown: Machesney Park, Ill.
Born: Dec. 1, 1984
Current school: University of Central Missouri

• Named to the NCAA Division II/III All-America first team in 2003-04 and 2004-05 seasons, and named to the second team in 2005-06
• Helped lead Central Missouri to runner-up finishes at the 2004 and 2005 NCAA Championships
• Teammate of fellow Junior Team USA teammate Bryanna Caldwell at Central Missouri
