Parking at the Albuquerque Convention Center FAQs

Q: How do I drop passengers and equipment off in front of the convention center?

A: From Interstate-25, use exit 224-B (MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. BLVD). From the south, turn LEFT onto MLK. From the north, turn RIGHT onto MLK
Proceed to BROADWAY and turn LEFT.

Drive one block to TIJERAS and turn RIGHT.

Follow TIJERAS one block to COMMERCIAL. Cross the intersection and make a hard LEFT onto COMMERCIAL. This street becomes the frontage bus lane that runs in front of the Albuquerque Convention Center East building, where the bowling venue is located. This is where you will be able to drop off/pick up passengers or unload/load bowling equipment.

Q: Where can I park after dropping off passengers and equipment?

A: Proceed forward through the drop-off lane and turn RIGHT onto 2ND STREET.

Travel three blocks and turn RIGHT onto LOMAS BLVD.

Take LOMAS to BROADWAY and turn RIGHT.

Take BROADWAY to MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. BLVD and turn RIGHT.

Enter the left lane to access the ramp into the convention center parking garage. (There will be a special $4 parking rate for USBC Open Championships participants. Only cash will be accepted. Vehicles will be permitted to enter the garage between the hours of 6 a.m. and midnight. Bowlers may park on any level.

Use the elevator or stairs to go to the first level of the parking garage. Opposite the elevator, you will see three doors that lead into the convention center. The hallway takes you into the bowling venue. Once inside the building, you will be on the upper level of the facility. Take the stairs, elevator or escalator down to the main lobby for all tournament activities.

Division Breakdown and Eligibility

The USBC Open Championships consists of team, doubles, singles, optional all-events and a Team All-Events category. There are two divisions, and the division for which you are eligible is based on your average. To determine your division, see the following information:

  • Classified Team- Five USBC members whose combined average does not exceed 900.
  • Classified Doubles- Combined average does not exceed 360.
  • Classified Singles/All-Events- Average does not exceed 180.
  • Regular Team- Five USBC members whose combined average is above 900.
  • Regular Doubles- Combined average above 360.
  • Regular Singles/All-Events- Average above 180.
