Reservations will no longer have to be made over the phone. The team day of the tournament will be the same from year to year, unless teams choose to change it. Example: If the team day is the 42nd day of bowling for the 2007 tournament, then the team will get day 42nd day of bowling in future tournament years. More than one year in advance, teams will know the team day and team squad time they are bowling
This system guarantees the TEAM DAY ONLY; doubles and singles are assigned at a later date, on a first come, first serve basis with accompanying entry fees. Starting with the 2007 tournament in Charlotte, NC, day one of the team event for the USBC Women’s Championships will begin on the second Thursday of April. Team days are reserved from year to year as long as your reservation form and team entry fees are submitted by the designated deadline. To keep the same team spot each year, teams must submit the full team entry fee by the designated date (which will be indicated on the form when it is sent to the team captain); without the required fees the spot will potentially be assigned to another team. When the team entry is paid, full fees are encouraged for doubles and singles to receive first choice for doubles and singles dates and times.
Yes, they can. However, if a team gives up their guaranteed spot, they are then put on a first come, first serve basis for the date of their choice. While USBC anticipates being able to accommodate teams wishing to move their dates, there is no guarantee and teams are encouraged to submit at least three team dates for USBC staff to work from.
