USBC Women's Championships concludes 88-day run
The 92nd United States Bowling Congress Women's Championships drew to a close Sunday at Super Bowl Lanes concluding the 88-day event which crowned champions in 20 events.

The Sassy Ladies I team from Hampton, Va., has been a mainstay at the United States Bowling Congress Women's Championships for nearly 20 years. But a series of unusual events happened at Super Bowl that resulted in an unexpected move into first place in Division 3 team.
With the conclusion of the 2008 U.S. Women's Championships in July, more than 7,200 participants shared in  the more than $1.8 million prize fund.
 

Coming into the 2008 United States Bowling Congress Women's Championships Nothin But Fun of Newburgh, Maine kept one thing on their mind, have fun.  While doing so the team took first place Thursday night at Super Bowl Lanes.

Jr. Team USA Support of Orlando, Fla., moved into fifth place in Team All-Events at the Open Championships on Friday.

We Bowl For U, a USBC home team, includes (l-r) Trish Krieg. Breanne Eoff, Alexis Blaugh, Mindy Corr and Sarah Hilbert. 

In addition to the United States Bowling Congress' seasoned home office veterans and reliable travelers that help make tournaments happen, each on-site location also offers annual employment for local residents.
Unique feats and pairings were the order of the week at the 2008 Women's Championships.
Bowling for the first time since her abdominal surgery, Connie Beckwith came into the 2008 United States Bowling Congress Women's Championships just wanting to have fun with her fellow teammates.
