What’s tougher, shooting a free throw or throwing a strike?

A strike is tougher, but they’re really similar. When I’m on the approach, I view the pins the same way I look at the rim on a free throw. You follow the same routine, and you know the second the ball leaves your hand whether or not it’s a good shot.

On an off day, the L.A. Lakers and Miami Heat are playing on one channel, and Norm Duke is bowling against Pete Weber on another. Which are you watching?

I’m definitely watching both. I’m either flipping back and forth, or I’m watching a picture-in-a-picture TV.

Are bowling shirts and bowling shoes cool?

Definitely. I like bowling shirts. I have a few that I wear. And I might have some special shoes ready for my charity event in September.

Who are your favorite pro bowlers?

I like Pete Weber. He bowls with a lot of passion, and he always has his shades on. Also Walter Ray Williams, Norm Duke and Chris Barnes. I like to watch the ladies bowl, too. I met Carolyn Dorin-Ballard and Kim Terrell. And I love to watch the trick shots. I could watch that all day!
