bowlTVBowlTV channels offer quick tips, top matches and more!

Bowl.com's bowlTV has expanded its entertainment lineup to feature five channels of video programming for people who love the sport.

"A lot of bowling fans have said, 'Why can't we have a bowling channel, like golf and tennis?'" said USBC Vice President of Marketing and Communications Tom Clark. "Well, bowlTV is it. It's an on-demand video service with original programming, tips from pros and Team USA members, classic bowling matches and news and information coming from the USBC, accessed for free on bowl.com. It gets bowling fans closer to the game, helps their games and provides plenty of online entertainment."

Tips
If a picture is worth a thousand words, imagine how effective videos can be to demonstrate bowling tips and techniques! BowlTV's tips channel boasts 30 different video tip segments featuring some of the best bowlers in the world, all within easy Internet access to bowlers of all ages.

Pro bowler Chris Barnes teams up with NBA point guard Chris Paul in a series of five video tips on subjects all bowlers need to know: pre-shot routines, spare-shooting, lane play, versatility, finish position and the mental game – staying cool on the lanes.

Pro stars Sean Rash, Chris Barnes, Lynda Barnes and Kim Terrell share their knowledge and strategies in another five segments titled "Ball business," Pick your poison," "Arm yourself," "Triumph at the tournament," and "Battling the breakdown."

Team USA athletes and coaches are featured in 19 segments that range from ball fit, safety, lane courtesy, starting position, stance, push away and timing to team play, high-light adjustments, loft and mastering the pattern.

In addition to tips, bowlTV includes channels for tournaments, credibility, Sport Bowling and USBC programs and information.

Tournaments
BowlTV's tournaments channel includes segments taped at USBC's top national competitions such as the USBC Open Championships, USBC Youth Open Championships, U.S. Women's Open, USBC Masters and the Denny's All-American High School Championships. International segments from the FIQ/WTBA Men's American Zone Championships and the Women's World Championships provide a look at bowling styles from around the world and first-person reports from high-level athletes and their coaches.

Credibility
The science of the sport is explored on bowlTV's credibility channel, which features segments on ball spin and cores that could change your thinking about your next bowling ball purchase. The anatomy of various strike hits is demonstrated in five segments here.

Sport Bowling
Analysis and tips for performing on PBA Experience lane patterns are offered on bowlTV's Sport Bowling channel, which also includes Chris Barnes' PBA Tour video blog, segments from current and past PBA Tour seasons and the winning entry in USBC's 2007 PBA Experience video contest.
USBC Programs/Info
The USBC programs/info channel is a grab-bag of action and interviews, including footage of PBA legends Marshall Holman and Mark Roth squaring off in a revival of their classic rivalry. The match is one of several segments recorded at Bowlfest, held in conjunction with the 2007 USBC Masters in Milwaukee's MLB stadium, Miller Park. The debut of bowling's Dream Team, a trick-shot showdown and a series of segments on Bowl Like the Pros instructional clinics are other top shows on this channel.

Since its rollout last summer, bowlTV has become the industry’s most diverse source of online bowling programming. In its first six months, more than 50,000 visitors have stopped by bowlTV to see on-demand programming not available anywhere else.

Stay tuned for the latest and greatest on bowlTV!
