In recognition of her Dream Team Champion status, Jennifer Levon was awarded an assortment of USBC merchandise. |
Jennifer Levon, the 21-year-old USBC Junior Gold bowler who serves as secretary of the Illinois State USBC Youth Leaders, has found yet another way to have fun and succeed in bowling. She's used her knowledge of the sport and its biggest stars to become USYouthBowler.com's 2008 PBA Dream Team Champion.
Last fall Jennifer learned of USYouthBowler.com's Fantasy Bowling Game and selected PBA stars Tommy Jones, Sean Rash, Billy Oatman and Mika Koivuniemi as her best bets to win in the game's "A Team," "All Americans," "Looking for No. 1" and "Contenders" categories. Only one bowler from each category could be selected, so each entrant's Dream Team included players with a variety of experience and success levels.

"Our relationship is so much stronger because we have the sport of bowling to bring us together." In the fantasy game, performance points were awarded to each PBA player after each Denny's PBA Tour event, starting with the USBC Masters in October through the U.S. Open at the end of March. Jennifer's Dream Team amassed 2,345 points over the course of the 2007-08 season, 305 points higher than the next closest team entered by a USBC Youth member.
What would have been the ideal dream team for the 2007-08 season? Top performers in each of the game's four pro categories were Walter Ray Williams Jr. ("A Team"), Sean Rash ("All-Americans"), Todd Book ("Looking for No. 1") and Mika Koivuniemi ("Contenders"). Together they amassed 2,560 fantasy game points this season. In real life 2007-08 Denny's PBA Tour competition, the four category leaders earned combined totals of $499,990 in prize money and 4 PBA titles.
Jennifer lives in Lenox, Ill., and bowls Saturday mornings in the Future Pros League at Four Seasons Bowl in Canton, Ill. She also is an avid tournament bowler.
