People to People was founded in 1956 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower to bring citizens around the world together to work toward world peace. Since that time, eight U.S. presidents have served as honorary chairmen of the organization.
The People to People Sports Ambassador Program aims to give athletes a greater understanding of the world around them through international competition and cultural exchange. The program strives to provide a safe, positive and challenging experience for young American athletes.
Kids who want to be People to People Sports Ambassadors raise money to pay for their participation, and they gain a unique perspective on different parts of the world.
USBC Youth members age 12 and older are eligible to participate and learn more about the exciting opportunities the People to People Sports Ambassadors Program offers. To learn more, visit studentambassadors.org or call People to People at (800) 669-7882. |
