Fundraising Information and Opportunities

The United States Bowling Congress Youth is working with a handful of top-quality businesses to provide you with fundraising programs you can rely on.

These programs are designed to help in raising funds to cover travel costs to your state tournament, build your scholarship program, cover high school or collegiate uniforms, or pay for association or league expenses.

Check out the brief descriptions for ideas of how each program works and then sign up for the program(s) you like best.

It's as simple as 1, 2, 3.

  1. Click on the graphic or "link" for the product you're interested in. If you have any problem getting connected, call (800) 514-BOWL (2695) ext. 3158.
  2. Fill out the electronic order form for the specific product(s) and submit. Either the product(s) or information you request will be sent to the address you provide.
  3. When your materials arrive, get your sales program started and head for the bank!

"Susie" joins Earl Anthony Collector Bear Series

The fourth in a series of collectible bears has been introduced by the United States Bowling Congress to celebrate the memory of the late bowling legend, Earl Anthony, and raise money for the USBC Earl Anthony Memorial Scholarship Fund.

The 2008 bear, "Susie," joins the 2007 "Anthony," 2006 "Earlene" and 2005 "Earl" designs in the limited-edition series of nine-inch collectible beanbag bowler bears. Each bear in the series features a Bowling Rocks team logo embroidered on its shirt back and its year of issue embroidered on its left sleeve.

While Earl and Earlene are sold out, Anthony and Susie bears provide an opportunity for local and state bowling leaders to raise funds for their own scholarship, award or expense funds. Special fund-raiser pricing of $7 per bear is available when at least 12 units are ordered or $6.50 per bear when at least 36 units are ordered. Shipping and handling is extra. Suggested resale price is $10 or $12 each.

Individual Susie and Anthony bears are available for $10 each, plus shipping and handling.

Standard Fundraising Opportunities

If you elect to use any of the following six programs, you will:

1) Make a net profit of 40% on each item sold (that's $2 on a $5 item, $4 on a $10 item and so on)

2) You'll receive color brochures to help explain and promote the product(s) you select.

3) There are no minimum orders and in some cases, based upon the size of your order, shipping is free.

4) You should expect to receive your products within 20 days of placing your order.

5) There are two types of programs:

a. PRE-PURCHASE: You purchase the products you plan to sell ahead of time. Sales tip - people are much more likely to buy a product you can immediately hand to them. Placing orders and having to wait for delivery is a turnoff for some potential customers. Sorry - under this program, you cannot return unsold products.

b. ADVANCE ORDERS: like Girl Scout cookies, you fill out order sheets and collect money ahead of time. You pay for only the products you sell, but you have the added step of delivery when products arrive. Sales tip - you eliminate risk of unsold products.

6) Click on the product listed below to go to the order form for that product.
