Kuhn joined the staff of the Women's International Bowling Congress in 1974 as a field representative. Less than two years later, she was promoted to field services department manager. Her advancement continued as rules/legal manager from 1988 until 1995. In 1995, Kuhn relocated to the Denver area as WIBC's rules/legal technical advisor before being appointed executive director in 1996. Kuhn, 62, of Hays, Kan., was instrumental in the merger of WIBC with the American Bowling Congress, Young American Bowling Alliance and USA Bowling to create the United States Bowling Congress. She became USBC's Chief Tournament Officer when the organization formed in 2005. Kuhn was honored in 2005 with the WIBC Joyce Deitch Trailblazer Award for her dedication to the sport for more than three decades.
