The Five Personalities You'll Meet at League

One of the great things about league bowling is the different personalities you run into from week to week. Today, we'll have some fun talking about some of the characters you may run across at while on the lanes.

Clutch Carl

When you're facing off against Clutch Carl in a close game, you know he's going to deliver in the 10th. Whether he's shooting in the 250s or 150s, Clutch Carl has a way of figuring it all out at the end of the game.

He's done it to you so often, you just pencil him in for the double and figure out how to catch up!

The Social Butterfly

The Social Butterfly might be the most popular guy or gal at the center. They check in with teams in each league, know everybody by name at the bar and could probably run for mayor - and win.

Unfortunately, the Social Butterfly also gets called over the center's intercom to return to their starting lane more often to make sure they take their turn!

Always-Late Larry

Some folks occasionally run late to league. And then there's Always-Late Larry.

Always-Late Larry walks into league as practice is wrapping up each and every week. He's still tying his shoelaces when the first frame rolls around, but somehow always seems to start with a string of strikes - especially against your team!

Superstitious Sally

Sally

It's important to establish a pre-shot routine and apply it to every shot you make. Superstitious Sally takes it to another level.

Not only does she have a pre-shot routine, but Superstitious Sally makes sure everything is the same when the strikes are rolling in. She sits in the same seat, reties her left shoe and takes a sip from her drink because it worked on the last shot. Superstitious Sally doesn't mess with a good thing!

The Social Media Savant

SocialMediaSavant

The Social Media Savant can be identified by having their cell phone in hand between shots, letting the world of Facebook and Twitter know what's happening on the lanes. Although they may take over your news feed with bowling ball choices and game-by-game updates, the Social Media Savant's passion and excitement for the sport is undeniable.
