USBC Youth bowlers watched Chris Barnes roll the 22nd nationally-televised 300 game in Professional Bowlers Association history and then saw Jason Belmonte top Barnes for the title at the GEICO Shark Open finals in Las Vegas.

BelmonteShark1Through the PBA/USBC Insiders’ Tour, USBC Youth members from the Southern Nevada USBC had VIP seats to watch Barnes earn a $10,000 bonus for his perfect game in the second round of the final PBA “animal pattern” championships that was contested during the third annual PBA World Series of Bowling. The finals aired Sunday on ESPN.

Belmonte came back in the final round to post a 244-213 victory over Barnes to earn his second title in the World Series and the third of his PBA career.

Following his victory, the USBC Youth bowlers, including Douglas and Rachel Csanyi, Leah and Joe Glazer, Houston Hughes, and Tyler Given, went onto the approach to get autographs and have their picture taken with Belmonte.BelmonteSign

Through the PBA/USBC Insiders’ Tour, the PBA Tour has provided USBC Youth members special access at PBA events so they can meet the tour’s stars and get a behind-the-scenes look at what happens during a PBA Tour stop. Participants were randomly selected from area USBC Youth bowlers.
