You have just started to learn about the sport and it remains more of an occasional, recreational outing with friends at this point. For the New Year, consider joining a short-season league this spring or summer.

Put together a team and see what league competition is all about. You will meet other people who share your interest in the sport and you also can learn about how leagues are run. And there is no better way to learn about teamwork than in a bowling league.

Check with your local bowling center to learn about leagues that will be starting soon. And if you don't have a team, you can see about being placed on a team in a league.
